Robot vacuum listings lead with suction in pascals (Pa). On this page alone the ratings run from 8,000 Pa (eufy X10 Pro Omni) to 36,000 Pa (Roborock Saros 20). It is tempting to read that as "four times better". It is not.
There is no shared test for robot vacuum Pa. Each brand picks where and how it measures, and some do not publish a figure at all. A few years ago, flagships were rated around 2,000 to 2,500 Pa; Roborock's 2021 flagship, the S7, was rated 2,500 Pa. Now 20,000 Pa is ordinary. Motors did not get ten times stronger in five years; the number became the headline, and brands measure in the most flattering way.
The eufy X10 Pro Omni has the lowest rated suction of any mop-washing robot here and nearly 40,000 Amazon ratings, the most of that group. Buyers are clearly judging it on something else.
